College Matriculations

  • SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS OF THE CLASS OF 2008

    • 163 students graduated from the Class of 2008
    • 89% of the class will be attending 4 year universities across the United States
    • Three students were accepted to the military academies and two will be attending (U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis)
    • One student will be entering the U.S. Armed Forces.
    • The Class of 2008 will be attending colleges in 21 different states
    • Students averaged sending 7 applications to colleges and universities. Of the 1100 applications filed, approximately 65% of the application responses were accepted. There were close to 200 applications submitted to the University of California system and 60% of those applications were accepted. 20 students will be attending (UCLA, Berkeley, San Diego, Irvine, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, and Davis)
    • The average SAT score for Seniors was 1835 and the average ACT score was 26.
    • Oaks Christian students will be attending schools in 25 different states and at 73 different colleges.
    • 3 students will be attending Ivy League Colleges and 1 will be attending Stanford.
    • 43 students (26%) will be attending colleges listed on the U.S. News and World Report Top 50 National Colleges.
    • 17% of the class (27 students) will be attending Christian colleges.
    • 12 Seniors received scholarships to play at NCAA Division I and Division II colleges. Several other Seniors were recruited athletes who received financial assistance instead of scholarships for their athletic ability.
    • Two Seniors will be attending nationally accredited Art Colleges; Rhode Island School of Design and Laguna College of Art and Design
    • One Senior was accepted to a nationally acclaimed College of Music as a percussionist: The University of North Texas
