Office of Admissions

Apply now for enrollment for Fall 2015!

For domestic students to apply for admission, please complete the following steps. We recommend:

  1. Register for ISEE testing and submit the online admissions application. You are welcome to start the process with either action but both actions are required.
  2. Letters of Recommendation are strictly submitted electronically through the online admissions application (page 3).
  3. Once the online admissions application is submitted, you will receive an email with a link to the online system to schedule the interview.
  4. By February 15, but not before January 15, 2015, submit academic records for 2012-2013, 2013-2014, the first semester of 2014 and copies of any standardized testing.

Online Admission Application

Submit the online admissions application as soon as possible to secure an interview date of your choice.

Online Recommendation Forms

Insert email addresses, on page 3 within the application, and prior to submission, for the following:
  • Current English Teacher
  • Current Math Teacher
  • Current School Recommendation (head of school, principal, or other administrator)
  • Religious Leader Recommendation (a youth pastor or Sunday school teacher is a good choice)

ISEE Entrance Testing

All applicants are required to take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE).  Oaks Christian School Code is #054287. 

Register early! We suggest you register for testing before submitting the online admissions application and to avoid testing fees that increase each week, beginning three weeks from the test date.

Testing can be completed at any official test site.  To ensure test results are sent to Oaks Christian School, be sure to include the school code of #054827.  If registering for ISEE testing at Oaks Christian School test site, click on the following link and enter "Oaks" in the "Testing Center Name" field.  To register, please visit Register for the ISEE or call 800.446.0320.

Testing will be administered at Oaks Christian School from 9:00-12:30pm on:

  • January 10, 2015
  • January 31, 2015

Student and Parent Interview

Once the application is submitted, you will receive an email with a link to the online system to schedule the interview.

  • The interview consists of meeting with the applicant for about 15 minutes and both parents for about 30 minutes.  At the interview, you will be asked to provide a recent photograph of the applicant.

Report Cards and Test Scores

We require official copies of the applicant’s academic records.  For enrollment for Fall 2015, we will require academic records from 2012-2013, 2013-2014, the first semester of 2014 and copies of any standardized testing.  On January 15, you will be sent a "Request for Academic Records" to print, sign and submit directly to the applicant's school.  DO NOT MAIL THIS FORM TO OAKS CHRISTIAN DIRECTLY as it will delay processing.

International Student Admission Process

Step #1 - Submit our online application between October 1, 2014, and February 1, 2015.

Step #2 - While completing the online application, please send the following to ckirchner@oakschristian.org by February 1, 2015:

  1. An official copy of student's grades/ transcripts from past two years of academics, including English translation and school seal
  2. A scanned copy of student's passport (and visa or green card, if applicable)
  3. Documentation of one of the following English proficiency test scores:
    a. iTEP SLATE exam: http://iteponline.com/en/for-test-takers/schedule-a-test
    b. TOEFL Jr.: http://www.ets.org/toefl_junior/contact/standard
    c. TOEFL: http://www.ets.org/toefl Please request on the TOEFL registration form that scores be reported directly to Oaks Christian School. Our school code is 6717.
  4. A scan of a recent photo of applicant
  5. A scan of an official copy of bank statement with sufficient funds for tuition and fees
  6. A scan of international immunization record in English to our school nurse at  nurse@oakschristian.org

Step #3 - Once we receive the application and all documents, schedule a Skype video interview for student and parents. Video interview will be about 90 minutes. We greet and meet student and parents for the first 15 minutes. If parents don’t speak English, they are welcome to have an interpreter with them during the Skype video interview. We will have an interpreter with us on our side of the Skype video interview that can help with translation too. Then we will conduct about a 45 minute interview with the student alone, followed by a 30 minute spontaneous writing assignment that the student will complete.

Step #4 - Following the interview, a decision will be made regarding admission to Oaks Christian School. The decision is made based on the student application, Skype interview, availability of host families, and the fit of the student with the available host families. The acceptance decision will be emailed to the student and parents.

Step #5 - If the student is accepted, the I-20 will be sent to the family by mail after the full tuition and fees are paid and the enrollment contract is submitted by May 1, 2015.

Admission and Financial Aid.  If applying for Financial Aid, both the Admission online application and the Financial Aid online application must be submitted by February 1.
