International Students

Oaks Christian School welcomes international students to its high school. We are now in our fourth year as being one of few local schools having approval and recognition to admit international students and issue I20 forms to facilitate the visa process.

Recent international students have attended from Korea, Italy, Mexico, China, Germany, and Russia.

In order to attend Oaks Christian School, international students must be issued a Form I-20, “Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant (F-1) Student Status”. The Form I-20 is needed to apply for the F-1 visa at United States consulates and embassies abroad, apply for change of nonimmigrant status in the United States to F-1, or secure permission to transfer to Oaks Christian from another school in the United States in continued F-1 status. To receive a Form I-20, students must:

  1. Receive official admission from Oaks Christian School
  2. Complete the International Student Data Form. Please download the form and print it out. It must be signed by your sponsor and a bank official. If you are unable to print this form, you may provide the same information on a separate sheet of paper. If a bank official is unable to provide a certification on the form, a separate certification signed by a bank official, a bank statement, or other documentary evidence of financial support may be submitted. These alternate documents must clearly contain the applicant’s name, so that they may be properly filed.
  3. Return the International Student Data Form to:

    Office of Admissions
    31749 La Tienda Drive
    Westlake Village, CA 91362
  4. Upon its review of the International Student Data Form, the Office of Enrollment/Registrar will determine whether to issue the Form I-20

Once the Office of Enrollment/Registrar certifies the information on the International Student Data Form, it will issue the Form I-20. Please note that students must demonstrate adequate financial resources to receive certification. For more information about the financial requirements, please see the International Student Data Form.

Students who hold a different non-immigrant visa status and wish to change their status, must complete all the items listed above.
