The performing arts program provides students the opportunity to immerse themselves in their creative avenue of choice--be it in theatre, dance, instrumental or vocal music.
The theatre program has distinguished itself through several honors, notably its recent selection as one of fifty American high schools to represent our country at the world’s largest and most prestigious arts festival, held in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Each year, both the high school and the middle school produce a fall production and a spring musical. For the 2014-2015 theatrical season, our high school theatre arts program is very excited to present EAT (It’s Not About Food). This is our fall Bare Bones Production--produced, directed and acted by the Advanced Theatre class. Soon to follow, our theatre students are thrilled to present our fall production Two Gentlemen of Verona. The season will conclude with our spring musical Godspell. The middle school will be presenting CSI: Neverland for the fall drama, and Alice in Wonderland, Jr. for the spring musical.
The performing arts program is housed in the Bedrosian Pavilion. This facility features state-of-the-art sound and lighting and an electronic fly-space, all to allow for a fully realized performance experience for our students and theatre lovers alike. It also includes choir, band, orchestra, and dance space as well as a broadcast studio equipped with an HD camera and green screen.
