Performing Arts
The Performing Arts program provides students the opportunity to immerse themselves in their creative avenue of choice, be it in theatre, dance, instrumental or vocal music. The theatre program has distinguished itself through several honors, notably its recent selection as one of fifty American high schools to represent our country at the world’s largest and most prestigious arts festival held in Edinburgh, Scotland. Recent performances have been held at the Civic Arts Plaza in the Scherr Forum Theatre, with the high school delivering a rousing rendition of Kiss Me Kate, and the middle school performing the beloved classic, Into the Woods. In the 2007-2008 school year, however, the theatre program will have its own impressive venue to call home, as the state of the art Bedrosian Pavilion opens. This new facility features state of the art sound and lighting and an electronic fly-space, all to allow for a fully realized performance experience for our students and theatre lovers alike.
