The effects and functions of art on human consciousness are the focus of the AP Art History course. We will delve into the voice of culture and collective human thought. Students consider weighty subject matter like patronage, politics, class, belief, gender, and ethnicity in their analysis of art forms. By studying the art, we study the people behind the art and engage in a conversation with those who came long before us. This course is weighted on a 5.0 scale, as all honors and advanced courses are, and it prepares students to take the AP Art History exam.
