Oaks Christian School welcomes Tara Morrow as the new principal for grades 5–8. Morrow comes to Oaks Christian from Bethany Christian School, a faith-based Pre-K – 8-grade school, where she served as the head of school and principal for the past 10 years.

Morrow returns to Oaks Christian School, previously serving as the middle school academic dean from 2009-2012. She joins the senior leadership team.

“Tara has provided outstanding leadership to Bethany Christian for the past 10 years; we are thrilled to have her come “home” to Oaks Christian and anticipate benefiting from her amazing combination of a nurturing heart and forward-leaning academic excellence,” said OCS Head of School Rob Black.

Morrow takes the mantle from Garett Freeman, who leaves his middle school principal role to assume the responsibilities of high school principal.

As the middle school principal, Freeman led that school on an explosive growth journey that resulted in significant forward momentum in curriculum program breadth and depth, the ‘calling up’ of the student body to a higher, more Christ-like culture, and creating a middle school student experience that is unique and distinctive.

“I am personally excited for what Garett’s leadership of the high school will bring as we move forward together. He is an outstanding administrator who has displayed amazing leadership skills over his last six years at Oaks Christian,” Black said.
