Grades 5-8

The Oaks Christian Middle School Fardad Family Library is the campus hub for academic learning, creativity, and personal exploration of a wide range of topics. It invites wonder, bonds relationships, and unifies comprehension of all subjects through a full range of print and digital media.

A distinct feature is our emphasis on developing rapport between faculty, staff, and students. Rather than focusing exclusively on technical computer and research skills, our relational commitment fosters confidence, wisdom, and interpersonal success.

Ultimately, the OCMS Library provides a warm training ground for insights and skills touching all facets of life. It motivates students to maximize their own interests through reading, and equips them to seek knowledge in any information arena worldwide. Grades 9-12

The Shiley Family Library, incorporating the Crockett Family Atrium, is the symbolic center of the Oaks Christian High School campus and the academic hub of school life. We believe that strong school libraries build strong students and lifelong learners. Recognizing that there are different learning modalities, we offer three types of study areas. The Main Library is for silent study and research. The Crockett Family Atrium provides a beautiful, enclosed outdoor space for individuals, group study, and teachers and students to engage in round table discussions and open air discourses in a creative fresh way. A separate computer lab is available for private class sessions, group study, library orientation and collaborative teaching for instructors and the librarian.

Our expansive collection includes print, non-print and audio-visual materials. Our high school library currently houses over 36,000 items, with room for growth. For more information, please contact Diana Kim, Librarian, at 818.575.9230 or email
