Meet the Team
Diana Kim-Yoon joined Oaks Christian School in June 2009 and loves her academic profession and calling! She brings over 25 years of innovative library experience to the OCS learning community. Her educational background includes a B.A. in linguistics from Loma Linda University and a master of library information science from San Jose State University. She has also taught internationally as a bilingual (English/Korean) educator and has cultivated a love of music. Her professional background encompasses both the public and private sectors, having worked at some of the most prestigious high school libraries in the greater Los Angeles area. Her two sons are OCS alumni from the classes of 2013 and 2016.
Kyle Roberts serves as the assistant librarian, test center coordinator and media specialist. He earned his B.A. in philosophy from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2005 and his master of divinity from The King’s University. As a youth pastor and worship leader for the last seven years, he is devoted to the development of students' hearts and minds. Teaching English as a long term substitute at Oaks Christian School in the spring of 2018, he now brings his experience and education to the high school library.
Gerri Magnus received her B.S. in organizational leadership from Biola University, with an emphasis in Biblical studies. She came to Oaks Christian School in the fall of 2003. Her background in working with prospective and current college students as the campus visit coordinator in the admissions office of Point Loma Nazarene University made for a smooth transition to working with high school students in the Oaks Christian School library.
