Volunteers
Volunteers donate countless hours of their time each year to serve the needs of the Shiley Family Library. We appreciate and rely on volunteers to perform daily tasks to support the staff.
Task include: keeping supplies stocked, shelving books, putting magazines and newspapers on display, assisting students with printing and copying and helping the staff with various projects as needed.
Volunteers play a vital role in helping maintain an academic environment for faculty and staff. It is also a great way to get involved, meet other OCS parents, and demonstrate your commitment to your student's education.

First Steps
For the safety of the students, all volunteers are required to undergo security screening before the first day of volunteering. Oaks Christian School pays for the cost of tests (finger printing, TB test, and drug test). The volunteer program is managed by our OCS Volunteer Coordinator Ginger Kohler. If you would like to register to volunteer and request a test packet, please e-mail her at gkohler@oakschristian.org.
If you have any specific questions regarding volunteering in the library, please contact Library Assistant Gerri Magnus at gmagnus@oakschristian.org or at 818.575.9230. A library volunteer orientation is held at the beginning of the school year.
