Grammar - Students begin a unique study of the fundamentals of English grammar using the Shurley Method, our middle school grammar program. It will also help them enter Oaks Christian with a better foundation for how to break apart a literature text. This course is designed for NEW 4th through 6th grade Oaks Christian students only.
Math - This class builds upon fundamental math skills to help incoming 4th through 6th grade students feel more prepared and confident. It is the goal to lessen the amount of time needed to familiarize students with these concepts and to increase the likelihood of skill mastery in these and other math areas of problem solving.

Students begin with a review and extension of solving linear equations, graphing and writing linear equations, followed by a discussion of functions, properties of exponents, the scientific notation, geometric transformations, and the Pythagorean Theorem. Strategies for solving word problems are integrated throughout the course. Text and materials for the course will be provided.
This is NOT a UC Approved course. This course is designed for students needing to remediate 8th Grade Algebra Readiness or would like a jumpstart on 8th Grade Algebra 1. Audit Only, No Credit.

This one-week summer camp teaches students practical techniques in construction of strategic, compelling arguments, speech preparation, research, refutation, persuasion, critical thinking and listening, all while learning to speak with clarity and conviction.
The students develop skills to effectively brainstorm a topic, build audience interest and attention, organize the speech, effective use of humor, and delivery strategies.
Through many practice rounds, the camp focuses on the techniques and skills necessary to turn the novice speaker into a confident speaker, and the already experienced speaker into a higher-level speaker.
At the end of the week, the students welcome friends and family to watch speeches, along with a debate, on campus to see the students use the speech and debate skills they learned in camp.
Stop Motion Animation Camp 3rd - 5th Grade

In this camp, students learn introductory animation skills to create unique and engaging stop-motion shorts. The first week focuses on navigating the Stop Motion Studio App on iPad, applying foundational principles of animation, and exploring different materials and textures in real life for stop motion. Each day, students try various stop motion techniques, including claymation, strata-cut animation, magazine paper replacement animation, found object animation, pixilation animation, and paper puppet animation. In the second week, students create simple storyboards and animate a short film using any media learned in the first week. No former drawing or animation skills are needed! |

Mock Trial 6th - 8th Grade

This camp introduces students to the fundamentals of the legal system through engaging in-class trial simulations and collaborative team activities. Throughout the week, participants take on roles as attorneys and witnesses, developing critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork skills. The camp culminates in an exciting mock trial where students showcase their skills in a simulated courtroom setting, allowing parents to witness their growth and confidence in action.

Students learn how to use the basics of AutoCAD and Fusion. They make acrylic lamps and acrylic projects, and also have an opportunity to make 3D items with wood cut from the laser printers. Additionally, they learn to use the Bamboo 3-D printer and will be making 3D fixtures.
The goal of this camp is to teach students the engineering design process as they grow in making their own designs using the tools available to them

Students build their own simple planes and use virtual reality to fly their own planes. They use VR to fly RC planes in a line of sight setting. Students learn about actually flying as a pilot.
Students are introduced to physics of flight and apply those skills to design their planes. Quadcopter flying is practiced on the computer. Practicing flying including take-off procedures, patterns around airports, landing techniques is covered.
Material costs are included in the camp price.

This camp teaches students the mechanics of game development and helps students develop their own personalized game. Students use Autocad to create their game boards out of acrylic or wood, 3D printers to make board pieces, and learn to write instructions to their game. This camp incorporates technology, creativity, and presentation as part of the camper's development.

Students can sign up for more then one week and combine morning and afternoon but the price is per 3-hour session. Please note lunch is not provided.
Students explore a wide range of artistic mediums and techniques, allowing them to discover and develop their unique artistic style. Students are guided through a series of fun and educational activities to enchance their drawing skills, ignite their passion for painting, and introduce them to the fascinating world of ceramics.
Highlights Include:
Drawing Exploration: Students learn fundamental drawing techniques and exercises to improve skillset using different mediums!
Painting Adventures: Students dive into the vibrant world of painting, using acrylics, watercolors, and mixed media to bring their imagination to life on canvas.

This week-long camp is for those who want to grow in their relationship with Jesus as they navigate the ins and outs of being a middle-schooler. Students dig into the Bible while building friendships and discovering practical ways faith shapes how they navigate school, sports, extracurriculars, relationships, and homelife.

In this camp, students learn basic music theory, guitar chords, and are introduced to scales, melody, and lead guitar riffs. They learn fun songs from movies like "Star Wars," "Jurassic Park," and Marvel, to classic and popular songs like "Ode to Joy," and "Happier." Students gain access to musical skills and grow in appreciation for music.(No guitar needed. Guitars will be available for student use).
Student learn:
- Basics of guitar anatomy
- 8 basic chords (allows for playing almost any song)
- Major and minor scales
- Fretboard mechanics and melody skills
Each student will learn to play at least two songs: one will be rhythm chord playing and the other will be a basic melody song of their choice and ability level. These will be fun performable songs based on the student’s dedication and practice time.
IPAD Animation 3rd - 5th Grade

In this comprehensive camp, students develop proficiency with Apple Pencils and digital art creation on iPads. The curriculum begins with foundational drawing exercises in Procreate, ensuring students master essential digital illustration techniques before advancing to animation. Using Procreate Dreams, students explore fundamental animation principles through structured exercises, including physics-based animations like bouncing objects and pendulum movements, shape metamorphosis, and loop animations.
The program incorporates scheduled breaks to promote healthy screen time habits. During the second week, students apply their acquired skills to create an individual animation project. This course is designed to build technical competence and creative confidence in digital art creation.
IPAD Animation 6th - 8th Grade

This camp introduces students to professional-grade animation techniques using iPad technology. Students begin by mastering advanced drawing tools and layering techniques in Procreate, focusing on depth, perspective, and digital brushwork. The course then progresses to Procreate Dreams, where students study and implement core animation principles including anticipation, squash and stretch, timing, and secondary action.
Through technical exercises such as momentum-based animations, complex metamorphosis sequences, and multi-layer loop compositions, students develop a sophisticated understanding of movement and timing.
The curriculum includes instruction in frame rates, easing curves, and animation cleanup techniques. In the second week, students conceptualize and execute a short animated sequence incorporating multiple animation principles and techniques. This program emphasizes both technical proficiency and creative expression while maintaining healthy digital work practices through structured breaks.
