Music Production
Beginning and advanced classes will be a feature of the music production pathway. Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) of Logic Pro X and Pro Tools will be utilized in the production of multi-track projects. Students will learn basic and advanced techniques of music production including recording MIDI and audio, advanced editing, mixing and mastering skills. Students will collaborate with film and photography students in scoring and post production. Reels will be created and updated throughout the course of study, giving students a collection of their best work to submit to colleges and industry professionals. Students will also observe industry professionals at work and apply for internships in the field. Master classes, visiting speakers and visits to various music industry locations will be highlights of the pathway. In addition to core academic classes, students will be enrolled in classes through the Institute of Arts and Innovation.
