
All OCS students, grades 4-12, are invited to submit their best original artwork (drawing, painting, graphic design, digital art or mixed media) or photographs for the Christmas Greeting Card Competition for consideration for the Christmas Greeting Card Collection.
OCS judges and local artists will choose the top designs to be printed in a boxed set available for purchase to support the Visual Arts department. All submissions are eligible for printing, whether or not the art is chosen as a finalist. There is no entry fee. Please read the entry guidelines below before submitting your entry form.
Entry Guidelines
- The theme for this year’s competition is O Holy Night. All printable media is permitted: drawing, painting, graphic design, photography, etc. Artists are encouraged to show creative interpretations of the theme. Traditional Christmas images of Santa Claus (and other such images) are acceptable though not encouraged. Artwork may be secular or religious.
- All artwork must be submitted digitally with 10 MB maximum.
- Only one entry per student.
- Submissions must be original artwork and not reproductions of any copyrighted images or computer-generated images.
- Entry deadline is Oct. 28.
Additional Information
- Finalists will be selected and featured in the eight (8) card collection.
- One card will be selected by Mr. Rob Black for the Head of School Award.
- The eight winners will receive one free printed card of their artwork for their portfolio and enjoy school wide recognition in an assembly.
- All students who enter may purchase their artwork as individual greeting card sets (includes 8 cards and envelopes). Sales benefit the OCS Visual Arts Department.
