Softball Ends Season as CIF Semifinalist

In the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs, the top-seeded Oaks Christian Lions finished their season as CIF Semifinalists. After rolling through the second round a quarterfinals, the Lions met Los Alamitos in the semifinals, but came up short, falling to the Griffons 4-0. The Lions finished the season with a 31-1 record.

Track and Field has Five CIF Champions

The Oaks Christian track and field team had five CIF champions in Saturday's CIF Championship meet.

Danielle Irvin Jr won the long jump with a distance of 18' 4.5".

Baylor commit Tenly Kuhn won the pole vault with a height of 12' 0".

Niya Clayton won the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.78.

Eleanor Borchard won the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 46.34.

Payton Godsey won the 3200 meter with a time of 10:42.45.

Overall, the girls' track and field team took second place and earned CIF Runner Up honors.  

Late Heroics Give Baseball a Playoff Win

The Oaks Christian baseball team finds itself in the CIF championship game after a nail-biting victory over Newport Harbor.

The Sailors got out to a 2-0 lead through five innings, but three runs,  including a towering RBI double from junior outfielder Tommy Farmer gave the Lions their second ever CIF title berth.

Jaden Onaca threw a complete game in the semifinal.

The CIF Championship game will be held Saturday, May 21 at 4 pm at Cal State Fullerton. The Lions will take on La Quinta in the CIF-SS D3 championship.

Boys Golf has Great Showing at CIF Tournament

The Oaks Christian boys' golf team competed in the CIF Team Divisional tournament, playing for one of ten spots to move on. The Lions shot 391, which came up just three shots off the tenth place required to move on.

The Lions were led by Junior Tony Wang, who shot a 76.
