Weekly Rewind

The Lions advanced to the CIF-SS Div. 2 Semifinals after beating San Juan Hills 35-21 at home Friday. 

Deshonne Redeaux rushed for 181 yards and two touchdowns. Trey Towns, Jr. competed 17-24 passes for 250 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions. Chase Moss led all receivers with three catches for 87 and the go-ahead touchdown late in the fourth quarter. Stevie Amar had three catches for 50 yards and touchdown. Matt Watts hauled in five passes for 71 yards. 

Defensively Hayden Lowe recorded three sacks. The defensive unit sealed the game when Davon Benjamin forced a fumble on an impressive hit. Bryan Narcisse recovered the fumble and returned it 65 yards to extend the Lions lead to 35-21. 

The Lions will travel to the one seed Murietta Valley this Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm. 

The girls' volleyball program traveled over 300 miles in less than a week before their impressive CIF State run came to an end. The Lions', a 14-seed, knocked off Murrieta Valley and Liberty of Bakersfield before falling to Trinity League opponent Santa Margarita Saturday evening 3-2 (18-25, 25-27, 26-24, 25-23, 15-11). The Lions concluded their season with an overall record of 26-11.
