Freshman Trey Towns, Jr. had a debut for the ages. Thrust into action after an injury to senior Axel Eason, the Lions offense didn't skip a beat. Towns, Jr. completed 14-21 passes, for 209 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception.
Weston Schewsinger led all pass-catchers with four receptions for 82 yards and to touchdowns. Chase Moss hauled in three catches for 71 yards and a touchdown, while Matt Watts had one catch for 63 yards that he scored a touchdown. Brayden Hampsten and Davon Benjamin also scored touchdowns.
Hayden Lowe recorded three sacks, while Christian Knoos recorded 15 tackles, 11 solo. Bryan Narcise recorded a pick-six, his second interception of the season.
The Lions (2-1) will be in action Friday night at Santa Margarita. Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm.
