Lin qualifies for Individual Sectionals

Last week Ellie Lin competed in the Marmonte League individual tournament as the No. 1 seed. The Lady Lion advanced to the semifinals after defeating Newbury Park's Yulissa Mao 6-1, 6-0. In the semifinals, she defeated Agoura's Lyla Haiat 7-5, 4-6, 6-2 in a three-set thriller. After finishing the tournament as Marmonte League runner up, Lin qualified for the CIF-SS Individual sectionals on Nov. 24.

Football hosts playoff game on Friday

Oaks Christian beat Simi Valley 27-14 on Friday night. Deshonne Redeaux rushed for 171 yards on 25 carries. Niko Bladow completed 15-19 passes for 189 yards. Oaks Christian wraps up the regular season 4-6 and 3-2 in Marmonte League.

The Lions received an at-large bid to compete in the CIF-SS Ford Division 4 Football Playoffs. Oaks Christian will host St. Bonaventure on Friday at 7:00pm.
