Oaks Christian School will join thousand of non-profits worldwide to celebrate the annual #Giving Tuesday on Tuesday, Nov. 27! Harnessing the power of social media and collaboration, this international day of giving follows the widely recognized shopping days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It is celebrated by non-profits across the globe as a way to focus on year-end charitable giving.
This year, in light of the recent tragedies in our community, Oaks Christian School will be donating funds raised on #Giving Tuesday to the family of fallen Ventura County Sheriff Sgt. Ron Helus, as well as the victims of the recent Conejo Valley fires. The hope is this effort will be a blessing to those who are hurting during this Christmas season.
We invite the entire OCS community--parents, students, faculty, staff, alumni, grandparents, and alumni parents—to come together to support and raise funds for those in need right here in our own community.
Please be on the lookout on Tuesday morning for how you can give your donation. Also, be sure to check our OCS social media accounts--Facebook, Twitter and Instagram-- for how to give and to follow our progress that day! We will also have stations set up in the middle school and high school lobbies for students to donate. We will accept One Card donations at these stations.
