Andrew Christopher joined Oaks Christian in 2017 after seven years teaching film and live television production in Washington state. During that time, he developed new courses in documentary and feature film, and was awarded Most Outstanding Teacher in 2015 at the International School of Communications.
After completing his bachelors in media communication with an emphasis in performance, and a Spanish degree from Asbury University in Kentucky, he went on to be a sports anchor and reporter for two local television stations. He spent two years at WDNN-TV in Dalton, Georgia covering University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, and high school athletics. He then spent two years at WCTV in Tallahassee, Florida, covering mainly Florida State and University of Florida athletics. There he received two Associated Press Awards for Best Sportscast.
He is thrilled to join a growing film program at Oaks Christian, expanding into the middle school for the first time. He teaches two Introduction to film courses at the middle school, and film one through four at the high school. He has a passion for storytelling, and loves to empower students to discover their potential as filmmakers and students.
Joey Scott started his career as a child actor working on three primetime series, “National Velvet,” “Leave to Beaver,” and “The Andy Griffith Show.” For most of his adult career, he took on the role of Producer or Executive Producer. He has produced over six-hundred episodes of prime time television (with several long-running series). He has produced twenty-five primetime network pilots and developed, and sold four network pilots. He has been blessed to film in locations all over the world. In recent years, Joey has worked alongside OCS Film Teacher, Andrew Christopher, to mentor and guide students during their feature film projects.
Currently, he is in a mentorship role with the Feature film and documentary class (Level ¾). He also helps IAI students with special projects and script-writing.
Amber Seat, an internationally recognized photographer and visual artist, has an undergraduate degree in electronic media from The Master’s University and a Master's in Fine Art from the Academy of Art University in fine art photography. Her thesis project, We’re Unable to Answer the Door, earned her the best-in-show award from the academy and has been exhibited in multiple cities internationally and published in various books. Seat accepted a position with AV3 News in Palmdale, CA, as a reporter, writer, and producer during college. After college, she worked in Washington, D.C. as a private school's visual arts teacher and content creator. She has taught photography, film, and yearbook at Oaks Christian Middle School since 2019. She finds joy in helping students understand they can create powerful stories through photography and filmmaking. Her students have won countless local awards, been invited to exhibit in Barcelona, Spain, and consistently have their work published and exhibited. When not teaching, she enjoys working on personal photography projects, traveling, serving in her church, and spending time with her family.
Kevin T. Willson has written and directed hundreds of comedy and adventure commercials, in fifteen countries, for brands such as Nescafe, Jeep, P&G, Cheetos, Doritos, and Ubisoft. Kevin wrote & directed three #1 rated comedy Super Bowl commercials, and as a writer/director, has had the pleasure to work with Tony Hale, Zoe Saldana, Andy Samberg, Ego Nwodim (SNL), Richie Moriarty (CBS' Ghosts). Kevin graduated from UCB's and Second City's improv & writing programs. One of his comedy half-hour pilot scripts has a showrunner and an A-List director attached (The Office, Parks & Rec, Modern Family, Brooklyn Nine-Nine). Kevin is also co-writing a new comedy superhero feature film for Universal Studios. He loves to collaborate with authentic, kind, and funny human beings.
