Most photography programs teach students how to use a camera and how to take good pictures. We want our students to learn how to use photographic tools, but then learn how to use those tools in positive ways. When our students complete our program we want them to be familiar with the functions of the cameras, the computers and the software that are being used in colleges they may attend. We also want them to be successful in an internship and be familiar with industry standards. Photography can be used to communicate powerful messages and can tell meaningful stories. Our goal at Oaks Christian School is to go beyond the basics and teach students how to use their photography skills to make a positive influence in our school, our community and the world.
