Two Common Forms
Bequest in a Will or Trust
This is a simple form of legacy giving. Add a provision to your will, (ask your attorney), directing an amount, a percentage, or the remainder of your estate to Oaks Christian. It can be any size, can be changed any time, and has no effect on your finances while you are alive.
Beneficiary Designations
Name Oaks Christian as a beneficiary on a retirement account (IRA, 401k), life insurance policy, or bank account. No attorney needed — just a form from your plan provider. The gift transfers directly to the school when the time comes, bypassing your will and often avoiding probate.
