Grandparents may arrive anytime after 9:30am, but please be in your seat by 10:30am for start of program. Drop off or park in the parking lot of Calvary Community Church: 5495 Via Rocas Westlake Village, CA 91362.

Grandparents will proceed to the Calvary Celebration Center, get their wristband, enjoy coffee and treats, find their seats, and save seats for their grandchild(ren) to join them. PLEASE coordinate with each other ahead of time about a meeting spot: left side, right side, middle, front, back etc. Feel free to text and coordinate location.

*Golf cart transportation will be provided from Calvary Community Church to the OCS campus for lunch and classroom visits, and also for return to the church parking lot at the end of the event.

Convenient parking is available in the Calvary Community Church parking lot, where volunteers will direct traffic and assist guests. We have plenty of handicap parking. General parking will be limited so we recommend drop off in front of Calvary Community Church. If needed, we will have golf cart transportation available from the Calvary Community Church to the OCS campus, and back to the parking lot when the event ends.

Registration is REQUIRED for students and their grandparents this year.

• For entry, wristbands will be given at check-in to registrants only on the day of the event. To adhere to our school safety policy on campus visitors, all grandparents must check in and wear their wristband while on campus, and also for lunch. Please make this your first stop, and do not bypass check-in. Thank you for understanding!
• We ask parents to complete the registration form on behalf of the grandparents. 
• Please provide the grandparent(s) contact information (not the parent) on the form so we can communicate additional important details with them as we get closer to Grandparents Day, and to thank them for attending!

If your student’s grandparent needs special assistance of any kind, please email Monika Evans at mevans@oakschristian.org. Additionally, we will have volunteers on hand to assist grandparents.

Please be advised that event photography and videography may occur at designated times during Grandparents Day. By attending our event, you consent to your image and likeness being used by Oaks Christian School for promotional or educational purposes.

This event is specifically intended for our grandparents and their OCS grandchildren only. Unfortunately, our space is limited, so we cannot accommodate parents or student’s friends for lunch – only the grandparents and their OCS grandchildren who are registered can attend.

We appreciate parents helping grandparents register, dropping off or picking up, but parents do not paticipate in this event.

Students cannot invite non-OCS students to this event, or OCS students whose grandparent is not attending. 

We have several students who don’t have grandparents attend on grandparents day. Those students will follow their classroom schedule for their regular school day and lunch. More information will be provided  to the students about their schedule. 

If grandparents have grandchildren in grades 4 -8 and grades 9 -12, they can decide which schedule to follow regarding lunch shifts and classroom visits. They can choose which lunch shift and classroom schedule to go with (grades 4 -8 or grades 9 -12). Prior to arrival, parents might find it helpful to discuss schedules with grandparents who are planning to visit with multiple students.
