What is Malachi's Closet?
- Malachi's Closet is Oaks Christian School's volunteer-run, used uniform program.
- It is located on the third floor of The Gerwien Family Learning Center, Room #310.
- Hours for the 2026-27 school year are Thursdays from 12:30pm to 3:15pm (except holidays and special testing days).
Why is it called Malachi's Closet?
The program was named by OCS alumni Cayton Coburn to honor the memory of Malachi Smith, the three-year-old son of Wes and Rachel Smith, who passed away on Oct. 29, 2009, of leukemia. Wes Smith is the OCS Head Athletic Trainer and track & field coach. Malachi’s Closet supports the OCS financial aid program. To date, over $70,000 has been raised through this program.
