Parents
The most important job in the world is being a parent. It is a high calling and a challenging role to fulfill. The lion’s share of character and faith development of a child happens in the home. We partner with parents for the well-being and education of their sons and daughters.
Moms in Prayer
If you crave a place where God is present, prayers are answered, and hearts are knitted together, Moms in Prayer is the place for you! We warmly invite you to join us in praying for our children and our school as we commit the school year to God, trading our worries for His peace. Moms in Prayer is open to moms, new and returning. It is a great opportunity to get to know other OCS moms. We believe prayer is the wisest investment we can make in our children's lives.
If you have any questions or would like to be on our email list to receive updates and weekly reminders during the school year, please momsinprayer@oakschristian.org.
Parent Book Study
Parents are invited to gather for a study through the book "Fighting for Family," by authors, speakers and fellow OCS parents Chris and Julie Bennett. This discussion-based book review and workshop will meet twice on Wednesday, May 1 and 15 from 1:00pm-2:30pm (location TBD). The book is available on Amazon or Barnes and Noble.
The Bennetts have been married 23 years and pastor Vintage Church in Malibu. Their book focuses on loving well, belonging with family and with those outside our family, and making relationships a priority. Through their story of personal struggles and life's journey, they wrote the book to encourage, equip and give tools to others to persevere.
