Senior Performs at Inaugural Ball

OCS senior Elizabeth Sams was honored to perform for an audience of 1,200 over the presidential inaugural weekend at the Christian Inaugural Ball at the Washington D.C. Hilton, host to one of a dozen inaugural balls. Sams was introduced to the dignitaries and guests in attendance by Fox News commentator Todd Starnes. She then performed "The Prayer" and received a standing ovation.

As the recipient of a Congressional Youth Gold Medal, she spoke briefly to the guests before performing.

"I am honored to have been asked to be part of this spectacular evening as we all come together to make America great again. I was asked to wear my Congressional Youth Gold Medal tonight as a symbol of hope. For me specifically, it commemorates my work utilizing music to motivate and inspire my generation to honor and appreciate all men and women who serve," she said.

The program also featured the re-release of "Dear Veteran" written and recorded by Sams now available HERE.
