High school student leadership at Oaks Christian School has three branches: The Prefect Board, Class Assembly, and the Honor Board. These students have the unique opportunity to live out "minds for leadership and hearts for service," as they can positively influence their peers.
The Prefect Board
The government of the students is led and run by a board of student prefects who are selected by application, interview, and letters of recommendation. This board consists of a head prefect, a secretary, and members-at-large, as well as the following:
Academic Prefect | Athletic Prefect | Social Prefect
Spiritual Prefect | Fine Arts Prefect | Club Prefect
Admissions Prefect | Class Assembly Prefect
College Counseling Prefect | Service Prefect | Student Life Prefect
The Class Assembly
The Class Assembly comprises three representatives from each class: the class president, the class vice-president, and a representative-at-large. They perform grade-level-specific functions, help with events, and address class-related concerns.
The Honor Board
The Honor Board comprises five members from the sophomore, junior, and senior classes. The honor board is the "checks and balances" aspect of student leadership, keeping the prefect board and the class assembly in alignment with the student body constitution. The honor board meets regularly to discuss matters pertaining to the direction of the student government.
